Dynasty Media was tasked with a unique and culturally rich project – creating the visual identity for Bodega Culture. This brand is a tribute to the Puerto Rican origins of New York City's bodegas, a celebration of their distinct characteristics and the emotional resonance they hold within the community. Bodega Culture is more than a brand; it's an experience, bringing the essence of NYC's bodegas to life through pop-up events featuring curated beverages by Ultimate Drink Master, LP O'Brien.

The Challenge

The client's vision was to develop a brand identity that not only paid homage to the traditional New York bodega but also translated well into various mediums including social posts, products, and promotional pins. They wanted a logo and a design language that captured the essence of the bodegas' vibrant, bustling nature, and the raw, gritty edge that is synonymous with the city.

Solution

Inspired by the iconic typography and vivid color palettes found in bodega signage, Dynasty Media crafted a main logo and a series of variations to represent the different cities in Bodega Culture's pop-up tour. The design approach was twofold: to resonate with the heritage and authenticity of traditional bodegas while infusing a modern, urban vibe that appeals to a broad audience.
